Mutuality: Persuasion by Jane Austen

Observations about introverts in Jane Austen's posthumous novel, Persuasion (remade into a film last year by director Carrie Cracknell).

Persuasion, a novel by Jane Austen published in 1817 after her death, described a social circle in which how people’s prospects appeared to others had as much influence on their destinies as their own desires and inclinations.  I looked into Persuasion because it was mentioned in several roundups of novels with introverted main characters.
